Robert was a trustee of Rugby Crossroads for some years. He remained a trustee when Rugby merged with Coventry Crossroads in 2005 and retired from the board in 2015 when a further merger gave the Carers Trust Heart of England. Carers Trust Heart of England exists to improve the lives of family carers and the people they care for. They meet carers’ individual needs by providing information, advice and a wide range of practical support. They respect the individuality of carers and cared for, seeking to promote their choice, independence and dignity. Donations given in memory will go to Rugby.
